Dear Molly,

I wanted to share with you, my circular scarf project.  This is my second
knitting project and I'm loving learning the art of knitting through your
excellent instruction.  Your angora bunny fibers have been a blast to learn
on for spinning and getting to work the fibers from raw through dying,
spinning, setting the twist, plying and then knitting has been a great
educational experience.  I couldn't have done it without you.

I love wearing your angora fibers as they are so warm and attractive to
wear.  I receive many wonderful comments of the scarf you knitted for me a
year ago and now will start sporting my own knitting project scarf I've
finished all by myself :)

Thanks for all your encouragement and patients while I learn!

Thee Hare's Thimble (Sire): Have I mentioned how much I love him.  I think that he is just getting better with age.  I am so excited to have these babies out of him and Goshen.  I am looking forward to watching this litter grow.

Amber's Angoras Goshen (Dam) This is my hybrid Satin doe.  The reason for this breeding in particular is looking for that intensity of color.  She is an excellent mother!! She pulled enough hair for an army.  She is attentive to her babies, but still sweet enough to allow me to go in on the first day and see what little treasures she had.  She is a very sweet doe.

These are 80.75%German hybrid babies.  Both of these parents have nice depth to their color.  They both have wonderful personality also.  I can't wait to see how these babies turn out.     Born 12/29/09  I have been trimming these sweet little guys to encourage fiber growth in years to come.

Thee Hare's Mo (Sire):
A very dense buck.  Well covered over the back.  Just an overall nice boy, and the sweetest personality.  He is from one of the top does in my barn and I am very happy to have kept him.

Lizzy (Dam):  This is a very thick little gal in the barn.  Her body style is a bit more "fire plug".  I have her to put a little more stout onto Mo's long lean build.  She also has a very even coverage to her density.
    These babies are 89% German.

All animals whether kid or adult will leave our farm: UTD on shots, worming, feet trimmed.  You will take them home with written maintenance, registration papers(where applicable), &
health records.  If you have any questions after you get them home, you can ALWAYS call or email me and I am more than willing to help direct you toward an answer.  If I can't be of help I know enough people who can.

Mom and I feel the same way about our animals,  we are more then willing to accept an animal back into our herd while we find it another home.  Please remember these animals do feel stress and are best in a stable environment.  These fiber animals also require more then your average bunny or goat.  Be prepared to spend that little extra time for them.  We will paint you a realistic picture, not try to sell you a dream.

That being said Mom and I would both say if you take the time they are well worth the effort.  The psychology bill alone...;) and the bonus is the all that lovely fiber.

Hare Fiber

Prime angora is the best quality wool taken from the bunny. It is over 2 ½” in length, and free falling. This has not been washed and comes directly off the bunny. Natural colors available are: black, and white.  Black gives you a richer dyed color and black halo - you can't get much better then that.   Please feel free to contact me for availability and with any questions.

Are you interested in an angora rabbit fleece.  Choose your bunny from the animals page.  I will let you know when the next sheering date will be with that bunnies information.  The bunny fleeces start at $65 and go up depending how much prime fiber is sheered from your particular bunny.  You may reserve a particular bunny fleece with a deposit.   Remember each bunny has their own special wool qualities to enjoy.  Let me know what you are looking for most.

Don't know what to use the 2nd and 3rds for?  Dye any seconds for extra soft felting.  Spread thirds in your garden they will provide moisture around plants and if there happens to me a little organic debris, added fertilizer.     Thank you, Molly Golter.

Prime White Angora Prime Black Angora

Black angora fiber is such a wonderful thing.  I love the way it dyes up richer, and halos black.  As you can tell by clicking on the Prime black angora picture I have pictured white to the left (on the big picture) to give you an idea of how much variation there is in the "black" fiber..  The younger rabbits are darker and then fade out over time, but are still called black because of their faces and guard hair.  I really do love playing with this fiber.  I have spun some up that almost looked blue.  So let me know what you are looking for.
